Why can the BD 38 not be bought directly from Sport-Systeme Dittrich GmbH?
We produce the weapons for the retail market. Your nearby weapon dealer warrants an expert advice and delivers your weapon. Here you can find our distributor's list. For spare parts for the BD38 please contact your local distributor and refer to the items as per our Webshop.

Is there a special reason, why some measurements (for example diameter of barrel in system) don’t fit with the original?
Parts, which only can be bought with a licence (for example barrel or bolt) must not be ex-changeable with an original one.

questions to BD44:
According to the general gun control act, semi-automatic weapons, which look like a war-weapon and which have a case length under 40 mm are not purchasable for sport-shooters. The BD 44 has a case length of 33 mm.
The case length is only relevant, if the weapon is a military weapon according to the gun control act. The appointed date, if military weapon yes or no, is the 1st September 1945. The original models we had (BD 38, BD 44 and BD 3008) are adapted before, so they aren’t military weapons.

Is a Federal Criminal Police Office-clearance needed for the BD44?
The weapon is a completely newly manufactured one. Furthermore weapon-lawful pertinant pieces don’t fit with the original MP44 and vice versa into the BD44. So, a clearance is not needed. Anyway, we have applied for a clearance report.

The weapon is a completely new produced one. Furthermore, components subject to weapon-law don’t fit into the original MP38 and vice versa not into the BD38. So, a clearance is not needed. Anyway, we have applied for a clearance report and received it. You can find it here.

My BD38 is shooting too high at a distance of 50 meters, what can I do?
The sight is geared to a distance of 100 and 200 meters respectively. For shooting other distances, a sight for other heights is needed. You can order this sight in our Webshop.

In „Visier 11/05“ it was reported, that the scope of delivery includes a magazine loader. I got my BD38 without a magazine loader.
We are sorry, but the gremlins crept into the report. The magazine loader is not included. You can see the scope of delivery here.

In DWJ 12/05 it was reported, that the magazines are unused original ones, the one I get is used.
At the moment we have only used originals. You may read the corrected report here.
