The original MP38 shown below was used as a master piece for the construction of the BD 38. This submachine-gun was developed by the company ERMA (Erfurter Maschinenfabrik) at that time.
The MP38 was used by tank crews, paratroopers and other units - where, for reasons of space, small-size guns were necessary.

This important historical gun model is made new with almost all the smallest details of the original. Heeresabnahmestempel will be - as available on the original design - stamped.
All metal parts will be turned and milled from the solid material. The grips and the stock are pressed from bakelite. This material is supplied by the same company, which is still in existence today, which delivered to the manufacturer of the MP 38.

The BD 38 was modified by the fitting a two-piece bolt handle and cutting of a slot above the front of the bolt receiver track to lock the bolt into the forward position. This modification is the same as in the late versions called the MP38/40.

The BD 38 is available through registered firearms dealers. Spare parts are available in our Webshop . Many spare parts for the BD 38 can also be used for the original MP 38 and MP 40.
